Piezoelectric rain gauge uses piezoelectric sensor module to measure the intensity of rainfall based on the voltage effect generated by the impact of raindrops on the piezoelectric module. The piezoelectric effect is used to convert mechanical displacement into electrical signals, and the amount of rainfall is obtained based on the change in voltage waveform converted from the energy of raindrop impact, thereby realizing the measurement of the weight of a single raindrop and then calculating the rainfall. Piezoelectric rain gauge has no mechanical accessories, so it is more durable, sensitive and reliable than rain gauges of other technologies, maintenance-free, and does not require on-site calibration.
